| Abstract | Object-Oriented applications strongly emphasis on design aspects during the early stages of software development to get the high quality output. Object-Oriented design metrics play an important role in software engineering to understand design aspects of the software as well as to improve quality, complexity and productivity of the software. Many object-Oriented approaches have been proposed to predict the fault proneness of software metrics. To evaluate the design aspects of an application, software developers use object-oriented attributes such as coupling, cohesion, complexity, inheritance, and size with their corresponding metrics in predicting fault proneness. The goal of of this study is to evaluate software metrics using object oriented approach that are useful for predicting fault-prone classes and to investigate their capability in combination. |
