| Abstract | Several isothermal drying experiments are conducted on cementious material samples of various nature, composition and size to study the impact of the intrinsect properties of the material on diffusive water transferts. The equation proposed by van Genuchten and Mualem for porous medium is identified from the experimental data of water content versus capillary pressure in the material. A modelling of the diffusivity equation allows the estimation of the intrinsinc permeability. The van Genuchten-Mualem relation fits only imperfectly to the results and appears sensible to material nature and sample size. A large increase of the intrinsect permeability during drying is also outlined, propably due to microfissuration. A modification of the hydrodynamical properties formulation is proposed to allow a better representation of these experiments. |
