| Abstract | It has recently become a growing concern about the environmental impacts caused by livestock and their waste. Thus, this review aims to briefly describe issues that has gained prominence in the global poultry scenario, for example, control of emissions of ammonia and odors generated in production. This work, we observed that to mitigate the environmental impact of poultry need adequate planning, zoning and training of all personnel involved in the creation of birds and the management of their waste. However, it has been found that there are many methods that show great efficiency in the reduction of ammonia, however the high cost of implementation. |
