| Abstract | In this article, two interfaces: USB and FireWire were compared due to measured execution time of data transfer from mass storage to the computer. In the article [1] analysis of asynchronous data transfer was shown and execution time of data transfer from mass storage to the computer was estimated. Using this estimated time and measured time of data transfer it is possible to compare defined communication system models for USB and FireWire. This allowed the comparison of USB and FireWire ports. The measurements pointed to a FireWire interface (in contrast to the results of the analysis in the article [1]) as the one that should be used to transfer data from mass storage to your computer. |
