| Abstract | The aim of this study is the determination of the prevalence of S. aureus strains resistant to methicillin and producing enterobacteria carbapenemases isolated from food. A total of 414 food samples were taken from different spurces (sausages, chickens, eggs, cow's milk, vegetables and pastries). For ECP, after isolation, the sensitivity of strains to antibiotics was determined by the disc diffusion diffusion methode; carbapenemase production was determined by the use of different phenotypic tests including Hodge test, the modified Carba NP test EDTA test. For MRSA, after isolation, the MICs were carried out from differents antibiotics. 8 ECP strains and 47 strains of MRSA were isolated with prevalence of 1.93% and 11.35% respectively. Resistance rate of ECP strains to β-lactams from 12.5% to ceftazidime to 100% for meropenem. All MRSA strains have shown resistance to oxacillin and cefoxitin. |
