| Abstract | The present research work aims to: Determine what is the situation and incidence of the Municipal Policies to promote the needs and demands of Micro and Small Enterprises that drives their business development in the District of Chepen. To achieve this purpose, the descriptive method of applied character was used using the methods and techniques of interview and documentary analysis, reaching the conclusion that. local economic development is directly related to objectives that aim to improve the image of the territory (province, district) and its attractions, encourage the emergence of new companies, attract and locate new companies from other territorial areas, consolidate and expand existing ones, motivate their innovation capacity to make them the income of the population. In this sense, the promotion of local entrepreneurship is the key element of local development policies and strategies. The result of the present investigation allowed to conclude: - That the policies of promotion of the development of the MYPES established in the current regulations, of national, regional and local character; within the responsibilities of promoter of the local economic development, they have a relevant incidence in the will and in the decisions of the municipal government of Chepen to promote the development of the MYPES - That the Provincial Municipality of Chepen, during the period from 2017 to 2018, has formulated decisions to implement, within its management documents, policies that promote the development of the MYPES in the urban sector of the Chepen District; and it has carried out little relevant programs to promote the development of the MYPES. Recommending that: - That the Provincial Municipality of Chepen, through its authorities, must assume new challenges, among them, those of creating or improving competitive capacities and transforming the local productive systems, that is to say; the Municipality of Chepen and its authorities, managers and officials should have the idea of building innovative and competitive territories, to create spaces for public, social and private actors to meet, with a view to modifying the productive apparatus and promoting a process of economic growth with equity. |
