Abstract	This article aimed to describe the epidemiological profile of pesticide poisoning reported in Brazil in the Information System for Notification Diseases in two periods: 1995-2007 and 2006-2010. These are two cross-sectional descriptive studies. In the first bank 13.982 records were assessed, and, in the second, 23,430. Most were male, aged 15 to 49 years-old, had hospital care and primary route of exposure was the digestive tract. In the first bank, the fact that exposure of 42% of men work accident was 72% during spraying, since the second bank in the majority (46%) was for suicide attempt. For women, the two banks was the fact for attempted suicide. Considering the results, there was the need for training of health professionals and integrated actions involving mental health care to these individuals.
