| Abstract | espanolEste trabajo pretende ser una contribucion a la comprension de la practica docente exitosa en el area de los cursos de Matematicas que se imparten en las ingenierias en los cursos de nivel superior. Se basa en los hallazgos obtenidos en una investigacion de corte cualitativo realizada en el Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores y de Occidente (ITESO) en Guadalajara, Mexico, sobre la practica docente de cuatro profesores sobresalientes que imparten clases actualmente en el Departamento de Fisico Matematicas de dicha universidad. Se presentan los rasgos que caracterizan la practica docente del primer profesor investigado que, aunque en este momento parten del analisis de un solo caso, ilustran la practica de la docencia exitosa en general. EnglishThis work intends to be a contribution to the comprehension of successful teacher’s practice in the area of Mathematics as is taught in engineering careers. It is based on the findings obtained from a quality-focused research developed at the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) in Guadalajara, Mexico, on the teaching practice of four outstanding professors who currently teach at the Department of Physics and Mathematics of that university. It exposes the features that characterize the educative practices of the first professor subject to research, which, although in this moment are derived from a single case analysis, they enlighten the practices of general successful teaching. |
