The concept of sustainable development entered the global agenda for discussion in the last century introduced irreversibly in everyday business, the obligation to submit a more detailed look at environmental issues not only in the process but also its surroundings, establishing a tripod sustainability which includes environmental, social and economic addressed in an integrated way. The motivation of this research is based on current concerns about environmental issues, health and worker safety, besides the pressure of society on the involvement of companies in this reality. This pressure forces companies to suit the new legal requirements and deploy environmental management systems (EMS), although for its implementation costs are high and require skilled labor. Based on these concerns, this paper sparked the motivation for preparing this research aimed to propose a Simplified System Management Strategy for Micro and Small Enterprises (SSGIMPE), taking as a basis the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 at a cost affordable for small businesses. This study presents a methodology for implementing an integrated management system applied the typology of industrial processing of jeans in order to improve their performance. The methodology has technical steps and procedures that could diagnose the current situation of the industries surveyed in order to be offered a system that demonstrated technical and economic feasibility of its implementation and validated its effectiveness, efficiency and effectiveness by the results. SSGIMPE The model was applied to a company seeking to standardize the processing of jeans routines and procedures within the norms guiding. The results showed that the SSGIMPE improved company performance case study, with the maximization of resources and minimization of environmental impacts for its operation. The results of their implementation suggested also be possible to extend its application to other types of small and micro enterprises efficiently. |
