Abstract	This research aims to describe the community stereotypes to disabilities by using the theory of literature sociology. The primary data of this research is a novel entitled of “Saraswati Si Gadis Dalam Sunyi” by A.A. Navis. Data are analyzed by descriptive method, while data collection technique through literary study by capturing written data through the novel. the results of the analysis, it is found various treatments of deaf-mute girl (Saraswati). Negative treatments received are not only from others, but from her family environment. The treatments are from her father, mother, brother and sister, cousins, and uncle. In addition, she also receives her as a normal girl without having to distinguish with a disabled girl, but most people treat her as a laughing field, and some even want to vent their sexual desires.
