INFLUENCE OF TERRAIN INCLINATION AND OPERATING SPEED IN SORGHUM SEEDING BY CONTINUOUS FLOW SEEDER ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to evaluate quantitatively and qualitatively the deposition of sorghum seeds at sowing by continuous flow at different speeds of displacement and inclination of the land. The study was conducted at Lageado Farm, belonging to the Fculty of Agricultural Sciences/UNESP in Botucatu/SP. Were used sorghum seeds Qualimax AG1040 and a seeder model SHM15/17 of continuous flow. The results showed that the greater the speed and the slope, the amount of seeds is deposited by reduced seeder in continuous flow. To speed of 7 km h -1 and most field gradient 13% to deposition of seed was reduced to 22,5%. Mechanical damage to the seeds are not influenced by increasing the speed of continuous flow sower and the inclination of the land, the occurrence of damage to the seeds is causad the way of functioning of the metering system.. KEYWORDS: Terrain relief, deposition, mechanical damage in seeds. |
