Abstract	The research aimed to diagnose the environmental management system applied in enterprises Sector affi liated with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Construction Merida. It was framed in a feasible project, supported by fi eld research. The sample consisted of thirteen (13) construction managers who answered a validated questionnaire in content and reliability. The results showed that the majority of managers who are part of the study have weaknesses in terms of awareness on environmental issues, lack of organizational goals and staff allocation of responsibilities in environmental protection and are willing to take on challenges in this area.
