| Abstract | Currently obtaining reliable results at the time of the decision to grant credit to a customer at a financial institution, has become an aspect of vital importance for these entities to be considered powerful and competitive in the modern world. When boarding this problem it must incorporate the concepts involved in expert systems, decision trees, credit, as well as identifying input rates (information) for each client. This thesis addresses the design of an expert system based on decision trees for the allocation of financial credits. The design has been addressed with a general approach that allows its use in any area that required rates of entry for each object being analyzed. However, in this investigation we show its application in the allocation of credit. The implementation of the solution is mainly based on the use of decision trees, especially the ID3 algorithm was the fundamental method for the construction of the system. Finally, we verified the reliability of the expert system by the alpha Cronbach coefficient obtaining an 85% of reliability which corroborates our hypothesis |
