| Abstract | In the United States, there is no formal national standard for rock and soil anchors. However, the Post Tensioning Institute have recently issued their completely revised Recommendations, which for the last two decades has filled the need for a common document. This paper highlights the most significant changes and improvements - especially with respect to corrosion protection and acceptance testing. The theme of the revised Recommendations is the enhancement of quality levels in the industry. This is promoted via technical competence and clear communication between the respective partners.
