Abstract	The following text exposes group of proposals focused on the strenghten of the social function of the Higher Education Institutions -private and public- throught the University's Social Responsibility , based on the integration of the principles of the Social and Solidarian Economy. It contains a review of the origin of the educational institutions and its link with the social reproduction of class conditions within societies, an analysis of the institutional risk associated with the pure achivement of goals and its marketing position, both of them priviledged above the construction of more armonic social and economic relationships. Finally, some concrete actions are proposed, including what has been named the trascendental learning model.
