| Abstract | This study was aimed to determine whether there was the relation between self-esteem and social support with the anxiety of job opportunities on persons with physical disability, and to know self-esteem or social support that had more strong correlation with the anxiety of job opportunities on persons with physical disability. The hypotheses of this study were 1) there was negative significant correlation between self-esteem and social support with the anxiety of job opportunities on persons with physical disability and 2) social support had more strong negative correlation with the anxiety of job opportunities on persons with physical disability than selfesteem. Subject in this study were 74 persons with physical disabilities, aged 18 – 40 years, and unemployed. This study used scale measurement of self-esteem, scale measurement of social support, and scale measurement of anxiety on job opportunities that constructed with Likert model scale. The data was analyzed using Product Moment Pearson Correlation analysis by SPSS 16.0. The result shown that 1) there was a negative significant correlation between self-esteem and anxiety of job opportunities on persons with physical disability (r = -0.648, p = 0.000), 2) there was a negative significant correlation between social support and anxiety of job opportunities on persons with physical disability (r = -0.710, p = 0.000), and 3)social support had more strong negative correlation with the anxiety of job opportunities on persons with physical disabilities than self-esteem. |
