Abstract	En este trabajo se muestra el desarrollo de una innovacion educativa que se ha llevado a cabo en el contexto de la formacion inicial del profesorado de ensenanza secundaria, del area cientifico-tecnologica. En la experiencia formativa se han utilizado recursos informaticos y mapas conceptuales como instrumentos de desarrollo de competencias docentes relacionadas con la representacion del conocimiento, la comunicacion oral, el trabajo en equipo y el uso practico de las TIC en el aula. Los primeros resultados indican que los futuros profesores y profesoras valoran de forma positiva el uso de mapas conceptuales y de recursos informaticos como instrumentos utiles para la formacion docente. Knowledge representation and communication with concept maps in teacher training of science and technology This paper shows the development of an educational innovation that we have made in the context of initial teacher training for secondary education of science and technology. In this educational experience computing resources and concept maps are used to develop teaching skills related to knowledge representation, oral communication, teamwork and practical use of ICT in the classroom. Initial results indicate that future teachers value positively the use of concept maps and computer resources as useful tools for teacher training.
