| Abstract | Double-chambered right ventricle is a congenital cardiac anomaly in which the right ventricle is divided into two portions by anomalous muscle bundles. We discuss a patient aged 46 who had a double-chambered right ventricle, with coronary artery stenosis and a bicuspid valve. Our patient underwent successful surgical resection of the obstruction by a right ventriculotomy and the infundibular stenosis was expanded with a Gore-tex patch. Also, a left internal mammary artery-left anterior descending coronary artery anostomosis was performed for the left anterior descending stenosis. Although, double-chambered right ventricles are extremely rare in adults, the example of double-chambered right ventricle with coronary artery stenosis which we diagnosed and operated on was the third case reported according to our review of the literature. |
