| Description | Journal: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica The use of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists in a long protocol appears to enhance the probability of conception in the presence of endometriosis. In addition, there is evidence to suggest that the use of prolonged downregulation with GnRH agonists prior to ovarian stimulation for ināvitro fertilization (IVF) is beneficial for achieving pregnancy. Until now, GnRH antagonists have not been used in patients with endometriosis. The management of endometriomas prior to stimulation for IVF and its impact on reproductive outcome are still subject to debate. |
