| Description | Journal: Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments A novel optical system has been devised for a quantitative medical thermograph (described in another publication). Accepted design limitations have been overcome and a 25 degrees arc unvignetted line scan with over 75% time utilization of the frame interval has been achieved. The high signal-to-noise ratio thus obtained has allowed a numerical display of a 13000 spot raster covering a 37 cm*30 cm field of view with 3 cm spatial resolution. Each spot is thermally resolved to better than 0.2 deg C over the designated range 28 to 37 degrees C at a frame rate of 1 per second. |
