Description	Journal: Physics World I am writing to suggest an alternative policy and image for UK science to that named by the science minister Lord Sainsbury (January p11). While Lara Croft – heroine of EIDOS's computer game "Tomb Raider" – and the Psion organizer are good examples of innovation, they are not good examples of a vision for science that could take us confidently into the next millennium.
