Description	Journal: Inverse Problems The initial/boundary value problem on the semiline for the Eckhaus equation i Psi$ _{t}$+ Psi$ _{xx}$+2( mod Psi mod$ $^{2}$)_{x}$ Psi + mod Psi mod$ ^{4}$ Psi =0, with the initial and boundary data Psi (x, 0)= Psi$ _{0}$(x), x>0 and Psi (0, t)+ Psi (0, t) mod Psi (0, $t)^{2}$ mod =F(t), t>0 is solved, i.e. reduced to a linear integral equation of Volterra type in t. Such an equation is solved by quadratures in the case of a time-independent boundary datum.
