| Description | Journal: Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter Renormalisation-group recursion relations are used to construct equations of state for the critical region of the three-state Potts model with symmetry-breaking perturbations, to first-order in epsilon =4-d. Explicit scaling forms are obtained for the free energy and the longitudinal susceptibility above and below the critical point, as well as for the order-parameter discontinuity on the first-order phase boundary. Application to the trigonal-to-pseudotetragonal phase transitions in $SrTiO_{3}$ under stress yields reasonable agreement with the experimental phase boundary. |
