| Description | Journal: Journal of Physics B: Atomic and Molecular Physics Extensive calculations of energy levels and transition probabilities for the E1 transitions between levels of $2s^{2}2p^{4}$ and $2s2p^{5}$ of the oxygen-like ions have been performed for 25 ions up to Z=42. The multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock method was used for determining the radial orbitals. The total wavefunction includes configurations that contribute significantly either to electron correlation in the n=2 shell or to relativistic effects through the Breit-Pauli approximation. The authors' results are compared with other existing theoretical values and, in the case of energy levels, also with observation. |
