| Description | Journal: Journal of Physics C: Solid State Physics The neutron scattering from the systems $Rb_{2}Co_{0.7}Mg_{0.3}F_{4}$, $Rb_{2}Co_{0.89}Mg_{0.11}F_{4}$, $Rb_{2}Co_{0.5}Ni_{0.5}F_{4}$ and $Rb_{2}Co_{0.5}Mn_{0.5}F_{4}$ is studied using the computer simulation of Alben and Thorpe (1975). This simulation entails a numerical solution of the equation of motion of these systems. Good agreement with the experiments of Ikeda et al. (1979-83) for these alloys is obtained when the exchange couplings between alloy ions obey a modified Shiba condition. The localised nature of the excitations in these systems is determined and discussed. |
