| Description | Journal: Iop Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering The aim of this paper is to model the effective properties of micro-cracked viscoelastic materials based on a dilute and Mori-Tanka estimates under the condition that the Poisson's ratio of matrix is time-independent. Firstly, the key points of viscoelastic homogenization theory were presented based on the introduction of a viscoelastic Eshelby tensor. Secondly, the stress-based estimate approaches of effective mechanical properties for crack-damaged elastic materials were extended to viscoelastic circumstances. It is shown that a damage mapping tensor which maps the undamaged creep compliance into a damaged one is time-independent, and this verify the assumption adopted in Abdel-Tawab's viscoelastic constitutive model that damage affects the long-term and transient compliance in a common manner. |
