| Description | Journal: Superconductor Science and Technology The influence of electric fields of up to 120 MV $m^{-1}$ on superconducting $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-x}$ and $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-x}$/Ag ceramics in an electrode-insulator-superconductor system has been studied at 77 K. In an electric field pure $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-x}$ samples exhibit variations of the critical current $I_{c}$ and of the resistance R at currents $I>I_{c}$. With increasing E, $I_{c}$ rises and R falls, irrespective of the sign of the potential applied to the electrode. In silver-doped ceramics, practically no electric field effect was observed. |
