Description	Journal: Physics Bulletin Although I was pleased to see the article by Michael Berry and John Shepherd in the August issue of Physics Bulletin, and can give my full support to their efforts to discourage fellow physicists from taking part in the design of weapons of war, there is a danger that it might detract from the central, practical, issue. Even if a majority of physicists held this view (and I would guess they probably do), this would not make us, or our world, any safer.
