NDLI: Government funds for universities stop halfway

Description	Journal: Physics World Italy has changed the way it funds university research to encourage competition and collaboration. Universities will now have to match funds from government with those from other sources – both public and private – to participate in collaborative projects with other universities with separate groups. Funding for major items of equipment will only be available as part of these co-financed projects.
