| Description | Journal: Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics The existence of a singular wave on the boundary of a magnetized plasma has been proved for both dielectric and metal interface. It has been shown that the points of the complex-zone boundary are neither degenerate waves, nor ones with zero field components. It has been proved that the intersection points of the complex-zone loop with the dispersion curve describe singular waves. The correct field components of the singular wave enable one to calculate Poynting's vector, which is essential for the modelling of a plasma sustained by a travelling surface wave. |
