| Description | Journal: Materials Research Express In this research work, porous TiNi alloy was fabricated from (Ti, Ni) elemental powder mixture by powder metallurgy. The effect of cold pressing on microstructure modification, pore characteristics, mechanical properties and electrochemical behavior in PBS solution, was investigated. X-Ray diffraction and SEM/EDS analyses revealed the presence of various phases with porous microstructure, with TiNi as predominant phase. It was found that as the cold pressure increases, different morphologies of pores are observed. Electrochemical testing indicated that TiNi sample compacted at 369 MPa exhibited the best corrosion performance. |
