The non-uniform distribution of all second phase precipitates (including coherent θ″ and non-coherent θ) was shown via the TEM-technique. The nucleation of the stable θ-phase, along with decreased dislocation density, led to a drop (∼60 $HV_{0.2}$) in the microhardness of the nugget zone. |
