Description	Journal: Physics World Now that the UK's Science Council has redefined science as "the pursuit of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence" (April p3), where does its new definition leave those imagined but unproven (and, in some cases, unprovable) concepts such as gravitons, Higgs particles, strings and branes?
