| Description | Journal: Physics World The threat of climate change from unfettered fossil-fuel combustion is becoming increasingly real. One clean source of energy is wind power, which is emerging as a practical alternative that, along with other renewable energy sources and energy conservation, can be adapted for a more sustainable future. Accordingto the European Wind Energy Association – an organization consisting of European scientists, engineers and others who are interested in developing wind energy – 10% of the European Union's electricity could realistically be generated by wind power by the year 2030. |
