| Description | Journal: Journal of Physics: Conference Series We present a short review of the properties of the so-called Pygmy Dipole Resonance (PDR) which can be studied with both isovector and isoscalar probes. This is possible due to the particular property of this new mode where the isoscalar and isovector characters are mixed. The use of both probes unveils new features which otherwise will remain hidden. It is of paramount importance the use of a proper description of these modes, taking into account their main features, in order to have a good description of the experimental data. |
