The topics include fundamentals of quantum theory applied to molecules, detailed discussions of computer and integral techniques for chemical calculations up to and beyond the Hartree–Fock level, diagrammatic perturbation theory, the application of projection operators and, finally, a balance is achieved by the inclusion of chapters which discuss molecular properties and astrophysical problems.
