Description	Journal: Physics Bulletin The Special Resolutions, which were the subject of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 29 July 1969, gave rise to some correspondence in recent issues of Physics Bulletin. Now that these Resolutions have been voted on, and carried by 94% of the votes cast, it is appropriate to review the correspondence in perspective, and also to review the genesis of Resolution 1, before the Editor of Physics Bulletin decides to close this correspondence.
