Description	In this chapter, we discuss the structure of prime semigroup algebras satisfying polynomial identities. General prime PI-algebras form a particularly nice class of PI-algebras, with a deep structure theorem obtained by Posner; see Theorem 1 in Chapter 18. Our approach is an intermediate step toward the general problem of characterizing the classical Krull dimension of K[S] considered in Chapter 23. Book Name: Semigroup Algebras
