| Description | The purpose of this chapter illustrates how decision makers' algorithmic processes can influence their analysis, which in turn can impact on their decision choices. This chapter implies that users of information generally selected information in order to come to a decision point. But before users of information come to a decision, there are certain algorithmic pathways that may influence their final choice. That is, knowledge representation of information represents users' perceptions; whereas, in the second stage of processing inferences and analysis of information represents their judgments. It is important to understand decision makers' knowledge representation in the first and second stage of processing in order to explain and predict what types of information are of importance before a final decision is made. The Throughput Model presented in this chapter addresses these challenges and, hopefully, future applications of the model will lead to even more fruitful applications of AI decision-making concepts.
