| Description | The Emerald Book is a new FIDIC form of Contract for Tunnelling and Underground Works. Over the years, throughout its various model conditions of contracts, FIDIC has developed claims and dispute avoidance and resolution procedures that have become a benchmark in the international construction industry. Those procedures underwent a significant evolution in FIDIC's latest edition of its “Rainbow Suite” of contracts that were released in December 2017. The joint FIDIC-ITA task group in charge of drafting the new Emerald Book has chosen to follow suit and adopt the same claims and dispute avoidance and resolution procedures in the Emerald Book.
