| Description | Nowadays, virtual reality has the advantages to include recreating different e-learning environments and situations from real life or hypothetical scenarios to learn. Given the heterogeneity of platforms, standards, and instructional design, it becomes difficult to integrate virtual reality in online courses. In addition, learning objects are considered as educational resources that can be employed in technology-support learning. This work proposes a model of learning objects integrating virtual reality mechanism in order to offer a better support for the teaching-learning process. In the proposed model, the learning object represents pieces of knowledge to put together, so as to design and develop online courses with several components with different granularity levels. Current proposal is applied in a case study describing the analysis and the design of a course composed by learning objects with virtual reality. Book Name: Virtual Reality Designs |
