| Description | The research objective was to determine the need for electronic modules (e-modules) employing project-based learning for a Basic Graphic Design course in Vocational Schools. This research is descriptive research. Data collection techniques were interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the Basic Graphic Design course had not applied a massive project-based learning model; (2) 92.54% of students complained about the difficulties in practical sessions of learning Basic Graphic Design because of the unavailability of learning materials; (3) 80.60% of students needed learning materials that covered theory, working procedure, and video tutorials. Based on the study results, it was necessary to develop an electronic module (e-module) employing project-based learning that could be used as learning materials effectively and efficiently for vocational education students.
