Description	Inferences about centrality using a sample from a continuous distribution covered in the previous chapter are a small but important part of single-sample data analysis. Restriction to samples from continuous distributions is a major limitation. Even if we restrict ourselves to such a sample, we may want to test whether it is reasonable to make the further inference that the sample is one from some speciﬁc distribution, or at least from some speciﬁc family of distributions.
