| Description | The development of individuals is largely affected by external factors around them. This includes the development of social and emotional competence, which encompasses the ability of a person to be effective in social interaction, including different aspects describing the social and emotional skills necessary for day-to-day life. Based on Social Learning Theory by Albert Bandura, the researchers propose that the relationship individuals have with members of their community plays an important role in developing their social and emotional competence. The study is aiming to study the level of relationship between individuals and community and how this relationship influences their level of social and emotional competence in the context of Sarawak, East Malaysia.
