| Description | Hong Kong has been celebrated as one of the societies in the world with very little corruption. Remarkably, the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) has been able to transform itself from a corruption-ridden organization to a highly professional one. Nonetheless, there are still many reports of corruption cases within the HKPF. This chapter identifies the key features of police corruption in Hong Kong and attempts to provide an overview and analysis of the institutional structure for combating said police corruption. It extends existing theoretical analyses to develop an institutional explanation in accounting for the scale and features of police corruption in Hong Kong.
