Description	Journal: Scandinavian journal of infectious diseases On the basis of serological investigations, Yersinia enterocolitica (Y. ent.) infections were found to be the probable cause of diarrhoea in 3 family members. In one of the patients the enteric infection preceded symptoms of Reiter's disease. The course of the disease in this patient is described as the first case in the literature suggesting a correlation between Y. ent. infection and Reiter's disease. Clinical symptoms developed together with very high agglutinin titres against Y. ent., implying that Y. ent. precipitated Reiter's disease in this case.
