| Description | Consumer perception about a product is linked with emotions evoked by it. The Kansei engineering is a methodology by which users' emotions or perception about a product can be identified more precisely and can be linked with product form elements such as shape, size, and color. In this research, a consumer preference–oriented design method of products' form perception is proposed touch screen mobile phone. The results of the study indicated that the design parameters of body shape and screen size received the highest importance weightage with 28.478 and 25.211 compared to others. Further, categories such as arc in top shape, line in bottom shape, radian in body shape, only touch in functional button, above 4.5 in. in screen size, above 1.95 in body ratio, and b/w 8.0 and 9.0 mm in thickness have the highest utility value compared to all others in their respective categories. An Internet of things (IoT)-based framework for this analysis is also developed for remote analysis. Book Name: Electronic Devices and Circuit Design |
