Description	Journal: Australian Psychologist This paper briefly traces the development of educational psychology in Australia and critically examines some salient features of the work that educational psychologists do, the places where they work, and their orientation to their clients. Since rapid change in social conditions is likely to continue, some of its implications for educational psychology are considered, and possible contributions from several areas of psychology are discussed.
