| Description | The development of new adsorbent for wastewater treatment is a major concern for researchers worldwide. This paper focuses on the removal of toxic contaminants (organic and inorganic) by using two green adsorbents (synthesized nanozeolite and iron-modified nanozeolite). The paper highlights the main process for the synthesis of nanozeolite, the physical and chemical properties of materials, and recent advances in application for the removal of phenolic compounds and heavy metals. The effect of various operating and experimental conditions on the adsorptive removal of toxic contaminants is reported. In addition, adsorption isotherms, regeneration efficiencies, and economic viability are discussed. The results show that synthesized nanozeolite and iron-modified nanozeolite can be used as green adsorbents for the removal of toxic contaminants in water. Book Name: Aqueous Phase Adsorption |
