| Description | The ITM consortium aims to reduce underground infrastructure costs by using extraded concrete lining for tunnel construction. A two dimensional Plaxis model has been developed to study the effects of the extrusion process. This model has been verified by a 2-D ABAQUS model. By studying the results of this model, principally the soil and lining deformations, the load distribution in the lining and the soil stress paths, knowledge of the soil/lining interaction has been improved.
